'Every storm in life is followed by a rainbow' - Doreen Virtue.
Greetings,
First, let me thank you for visiting my blog. Im so grateful and thankful to you for choosing to read this blog instead of doing other things. I really hope my writings will bring benefits to you.
On my previous post, I wrote about dreams and imagination. On this post, I choose to talk about problems and challenges and how to overcome it.
Life and challenges is something that can't be separated, everyone has faced challenges before, but your perspective towards that hardship is what will determine your success and failures.
How many times have u looked at your past challenges and problems then recognize the wisdom and the 'blessing in disguise' of the situation?
Personally for me, countless amount of time. Here's one story that really inspires me ;
He didn't have any money, he didn't have any connection and he didn't have any education.
He only had a dream, and he had passion for finance.
He was once a homeless man. He lived with his son in a homeless shelters and train stations at one point of time in his life.
At his weakest point of his life, his wife left him, and he was left with his only son.
Just imagine how many challenges he had faced during that course of his life. He didn't give up, instead he chased his dreams. Today, he is the founder of a brokerage firm and is involve in a number of initiative to help the homeless. He is Chris Gardner.
You may heard about his stories from his book, or from a movie that was adapted from his life stories, 'The pursuit of happyness'.
In every success stories, there is a hardship story as well. His story demonstrate a quote 'the road to living your best life is never as easy as it looks'.
When we look at the success of other, we often look at the end result, yet we overlook the years of hard work and determination it took to get there.
When faced with hardship, it very important for you to 'Look at the bright side'. Looking at the bright side and finding the positive in the situation will help keep you moving forward.
So often, we don't see the positive in our circumstances until its too late, we put ourself into depression and through mounds of pains before seeing the good in the situation.
You have to find that bright side now, in the present moment. Humor is one of the best tool for finding the bright side.
Stop thinking of the problems that u are having. STOP!
Look at your problems like a passing train. It is loud and uncomfortable, but it will pass.
Start thinking of the solution to that problem. If u can't find the solution, just let it go. Chances are, it won't matter in a year's time.
When u keep on thinking about your problems, that problem will become bigger and bigger. You will feel like there's a tornedo in your life, when the true fact is, it is just a stir in a cup.
Your problems will start to look bigger and bigger when u keep on thinking about it.
How many of u have wrongfully accused your partner of cheating, when the true fact is that your partner was sleeping? You start accusing her based of what u imagine.
There is really no problem, but when u keep on thinking she is cheating on you, the 'problem' becomes bigger.
One wise man said this to me before, 'believe what you see, not see what u believe'.
Your mind and thoughts is something you can control, so control your mind into thinking more positive thoughts. Think of all the wonderful things that has happen in your life.
Gratitude. Gratitude is such a great tool in living a positive life and having a positive mind. When you are positive, you will attract more positive. It is how it works.
When are are faced with a problem, always ask yourself what u are most grateful about.
Always be thankful for whatever u have, and you will find more things to be grateful about. Allah will bless you with more happiness when you are grateful.
Try this, when someone comes to u, and they want to complain something to u, ask them what are the 3 things that they are grateful about, and share with them things that you are grateful about as well. You will see, that by the end of it, that person will forget about the problem and start being more positive.
Do the same when u are about to start a meeting or discussion, you will have an overflow of ideas.
Personally for me, I believe strongly in my instinct. There's a voice inside me that guide me to do things and i always listen to my instinct.
What i do is simple, as a muslim, we have to pray 5 times a day. I use that time to stop thinking about anything and just focus on myself and Allah. I ask Allah to guide me and give me signs to do what is right.
The key is to stop thinking and focus on signs that Allah is showing you.
Listen to your heart and don't ever listen to negative people. Let your heart guide you. Cleanse your heart, take care of your heart and find what you are most passionate about.
magine this, you are about to go to a vacation that u have been dreaming about. You pack your stuff with joy, you go on google and look for the best places to visit while u are there, you ask your friends about the best places to visit, and when u get in the plane, you are full of positive energy and u talk to your family and friends about how excited you are to go on this trip.
When u get there, you are so excited to see everything. You want to see the beach, you want to go and shop, you want to enjoy the blissful food. You enjoy every moment.
Apply the same for life. When u know your dreams, then your job is just to get there. Be excited about getting there. Read about that destination, ask people who has been there. Enjoy your journey, be excited. Live the life u are supposed to live.
Thank you so much for reading my post. I really appreciate all the kind words and support from everyone. May god bless you and your family.
